This first sale was to clear som space……they were starting to crowd…..generally year round……within about two weeks the 2nd round will be ready.

@MaineChowder these are good in Maine……outside during day in sun and when it dips below about 40 bring inside over the night or in an ice cooler or something….. they’re coming directly out of an 83° grow house so for a couple weeks not much colder than 40….. DEFINATELY NO FREEZE OR FROST TILL AUTUMN 2024…….outdoor sunlight will do them some justice even when it’s just about 40,50s and low 60s…….. I would think evergreen pine tree leaves are very effective in early spring sunlight.

BEST IDEA EVER WAS TO CLEAR THESE PINES OUT EARLIER THAN EXPECTED.
They were crowding ,but just a few days into some more open position under the growlights and they already are greening up.
These are all ready for packing and shipping on tuesday!

This is generally year round…….will be a couple weeks…………perhaps ebay can alert too in your settings….Yes can watch sellers on ebay and are notified.

Curt, I got around to repotting the ones I got from you in 2022 today. These things are beasts above and below the soil. They were also jam packed with mycorrhizae. Do you treat them with anything to encourage the myco growth?

Totally a pine thing…….. now that you mention it though in 2022 I was using a hydroponic microbial product….had mychoriza too
@cmeg1 I’m curious if you’ve tried to propagate Goyomatsu with your methods? I know it’s tough to find seed or cutting grown material in the US. They are also known to be slow growing and I wonder if a hydroponic start in life would give them a leg up. Seed stratification is not quite as straightforward as with Kuromatsu but if you could get your hands on a Zuisho mother plant (which is known to take from cuttings reasonably well) that could pay dividends over time. Julian Adams has a waiting list that stretches several years now for his traditionally struck Zuisho cuttings. I would be highly interested in this product if it ever came to be and I suspect you’d have no problem selling any amount of stock you grew.

I would definitely mess around with that if I could get a matures Zuisho from a nursery or even the seeds, but I think it might be a bit too warm and humid in my area but a healthy start does wonders you’d be surprised

I also purchased one in 2022, it's now 15" tall & the base of the trunk is 1/24 of an inch . I just potted it up when I got it & let it grow, repotted it today and was surprised at all the roots & mycorrhizae in such a short time. You can't go wrong getting these. I'm patiently waiting on the Siberian elms.
Got four of those last year and they are starting to pop now...

GREAT COLOR.
I opened the door to the growhouse today and noticed the sun shining on them.An instant tranformation to a dark blue.
The sun and the lights are definate different hue for sure.
Happy with these though.

How cold is it in Pennsylvania, mine will be shipping to Florida but I suspect they may get frozen once or twice on the way.
