You are amazing my friend! Thanks @Drcuisine
Here is a little peek at what I have going on.
These reach a state where they are quite indestructable. They get rather green. My favorite is a low strength fertlizer. The stonewool promotes much fertilizer availablity and coupled with bio-stimulants and a low strength NPK they do great with a sort of sparten approach.Even outdoor too.
These are only at .6-.9 ec!!! Very early veg.
There are more cuttings rooting to fill this whole flood table and just enough time to get them to size in April.
These are quite durable little trees…..lots of calcium….
That is a great growcourse!!
Get a small tent and do some tests……View attachment 523552View attachment 523553View attachment 523554View attachment 523555View attachment 523556View attachment 523557View attachment 523558View attachment 523559View attachment 523560

Yea,right
Thanks …will have plenty to go aroundThat's incredible! Put me down for 20. Would this work for cedar?
How old are theese from seed in this picture. Forgive me if it's mentioned. Just read all 24 pages. Kudos. That's some skill.
I thought I would chime in and show updates on one of these pine starters I bought ONE year ago. Thanks …will have plenty to go around
Update. I bought the seedlings in June 2022 so they are closer to 2 year and in my care 1.5 years.I thought I would chime in and show updates on one of these pine starters I bought ONE year ago.
There have incredible number of established low branches. My thought for two of them was to grow out low sacrifice branches and try to make the shortest fattest JBP possible. The tree still has plenty of original needles and is still producing low buds on the trunk. I let two leaders grow. You can see each of last years two flushes on the long branches. Candles got to be close to six”. The trunk is now just over an inch in diameter. This is in one year!!! I don’t know what month the cuttings were started or when you did the seedling cutting. I’m guessing the tree was four months old when I got it early spring 2023.
I repotted into a strainer basket a week ago. I’ll probably gradually reduce the two sacrifice branches at the end of this summer and allow a Lower branch to become the new sacrifice branch while maintaining all other branch close the the trunk. So far I’ve kept the trunk to less than 2” in height if I ca get a four inch wide two inch tall tree I will be happy. That’s the goal and was from the beginning.
There are seedling and there are seedlings but I have never seen anything that comes close to what cemg1 has been able to produce.
I recommend EVERYONE buy at least one of these pines if for no other reason then to see what’s possible.
Keep up the good work.
One more shout out to Dylan and his increadible work ground growing highly contorted deciduous pre-bonsai. The two of you are making some of the highest caliber pre bonsai material. Dylan is best contacted directly. I think his cell phone is on his website. http://cedarrosenursery.com/
Happy growing.
Do let us know when you post on eBay unless you want to sell me directly. I plan on giving some of these to my local pro growers Jonas, Erik S, Peter T and Adam T.

Looking forward to these! Always need more of these JBP.READY FOR SPRINGTIME!!
Looking nice. The certain offerings are Japanese Black pine seedling cuttings and the Siberian Elm air-layered starters.
Hopefully about 100 of the zelkova multi-trunk too.
The Pines are definately nice!
Bigtime rooting and vigor……currently on a low EC nutrient till’ planting out.
The Siberian Elms will be air-layered at the base…….most of them. Some will be just fine without air-layering.They will be very big in another 8 weeks for sure!!
They’re currently only at 3.5 weeks
The pines are only 17 weeks yet !!!

Probably both…..some are straight, some are possible classic brooms, and some are total rejects and air-layered off for multi-trunk and some are prime material for multi-trunks and air-layered off!!Looking forward to these! Always need more of these JBP.
Are you planning on selling Zelkovas that are single trunk? Or just the multi trunk?
Spring…….I did not have a sale last season .The growhouse was broken.I was pretty upset I missed the last JBP sale. When will this one be kicking off?
Thanks!@cmeg1 I am a very happy owner of 6 of your JBP seedlings from ~3 years ago. I can't remember if this was discussed earlier in this (very long) thread, but do you have plans to do any JRP? I would definitely purchase some.
I know it. I missed those $8 starters you had for a few days, however long back that was.Spring…….I did not have a sale last season .The growhouse was broken.
