Did some more work. Decided on where to cut the top- I cut it here because it creates good movement and taper throughout and each section of trunk gets a little smaller-shorter from the bottom up. the upper part before went on too long.
Next it's just shortening the branches to get some movement and taper. They'll probably be cut back a little more after it buds back out. At some point I'll do a little carving turning the large cut scar into an uro, taking away the slight reverse taper at that point.
A little more detail of the base- during the repotting I'll remove this crossing root and the other large roots sticking up. I think there are better roots just under these. Then I'll arrange the remaining roots as best as possible to create a more even nebari.
I'll put some pot choices up later and we can decide which pot to use.
