Last year, my teacher gave me this juniper whip. I did some work on it, but really did not like my initial work. I let the tree grow back out and then took the wire off. I reworked the tree and repotted it. Lots of work done to this little guy. Need to give it lots of rest now.

Here is the before and after.

Thanks, now I'm going to have Devo songs in my head all day. lol

Very nice little juni, by the way ;-D

Thanks Kennedy. Ya, I really wasn't sure what I was going to do with the tree before this. I was thinking a bigger pot and leaving it alone for years or maybe finding a spot and planting it in the ground for many years. However, before doing that, I figured I would try to do something with it. Personally, I have been trying to stick with much older and bigger trunk material. However, there is something that still appeals to me when it comes to a small tree with great movement.;)

Looking good, and you have it all wired for better reception too !

Rob, wouldn't it had been better to keep it in the colander, or up pot it to a larger colander, to let the first and second branch dev. larger?

Hi fore.. It all depends on what you want to do with the tree. I believe this tree was in the colander for about 5 years. I really don't have any intention of developing this tree into an exhibition tree. Just a small little tree for fun. If more development was wanted, yes, it could have been replanted into another colander for another 4-5 years.

lol.. I don't know how well aluminum picks up signals. Maybe I should have used copper instead.

Rob

Aluminum works great for picking up signals, remember the old aluminum antennae on the side of houses, or perhaps you are too young! This will look great setting on top your TV set, dont forget the drip tray ! ;)

Gotta love those triangles.... or at least that's what I'm told.

Ms. Vic

This made me smile..lol.. I don't know what you are talking about..Something about triangles...All I know is that slices of cheese come in triangles.. I like cheese.:p

Rob

Someday.... someday.... I live in hope of a triangle-free epiphany for you. lol Not because you won't be able to identify them in some skewed and squinty-eyed fashion - certainly you could - but because you won't even care to look for it... or create it. :D

Warmly,

Ms. Vic
