Played with 3 of my ficuses microcarpa and 2 benjaminas. They are sitting raised over a boot tray filled with water and started to grow aerial roots. Variegated benjamina the least. Trying wrapping the trunks with onion bag net loosely packed with coco coir. They are all about 2.5 years from cuttings and I am trying to get the trunks thicker.

Cong grows aerial roots, too!

I chopped this one low to start a medium size tree.

Took three trays of starters to the club meeting and came home with two. Got a little cash.
Once I got home i went through what was left and composted some of the lame ones trimmed the rest up. Ended up with ½ a bucket of compost and only 1 flat of starters.



I also hacked this P afra back and repotted it. I'm too tired to wire.

I was leaning toward making a C to practice bending trunk. That trunk is too uninteresting to make raft. I am still looking for a wicked trunk to make a raft.

Also check out the fluity fluits on this backbreaker. Plenty of limbs up and down the trunk to style into a flat top eventualy.

Started summer fertilizing everything but ran out of baskets like... 1/4 of way through lol. I need to order another 50 or so... and buy more fertilizer.
