Quick fix for CAR
The only thing I could find for CAR was "crop at risk". lol
I'm still learning the lingo.

Tree is Swamp White Oak I think. The tree behind my place is super healthy, this one is suffering for some reason.🤷‍♂️ The last picture is mine.

Yes @Orion_metalhead is correct.
It is a fungus that requires juniper or ERC Eastern Red Cedar to complete its life cycle. It manifests in juniper like this post I'm having troubles hyperlinking tonight.

The day started with an employee tool sale.

Helped my partner practice for photographing the club show on Friday

Did some wound management and trimming of my garbage Japanese maple. It was $12 two years ago and the squirrels keep stripping the bark off it so it had a lot of dieback over the winter.

Hacked this aborvitae up because I have a garden show coming and it didn't look like a bonsai anymore. Forgot to take a before photo. Hope I can get some time to carve and wire it.

I wish my baby Olive looked like that! Nice tree, and I love the pot too! Colors blend perfectly
Thank ya kindly. I can't place yours. Olives are great . Love them...could become a hoarder if I didn't reel myself back in.

You know me...I do hoard Erin Pottery pots. Lol I initially thought to reuse the pot it was in. What was I thinking !?! That was not happening... so I went hunting with nothing in particular in mind. I love a green pot. Thanks for the kind words.

Definitely goes along with that Tim Burtun style that we see in your trees, this pot carries the same character. I find myself starting to steer somewhat in that direction with my trees. I also love some trees others would hate, so I am a terrible judge of traditional bonsai esthetics...

Prepped a tree for the "in development" section of the club show. Cleaned up the surface soil and did some carving on the jin and a root. The jin turned into fatwood so I'm not sure what to do with that. Forgot to take a photo once I added new soil and moss.

I also planted two plum trees in the yard, wired some rooted cuttings, and got everything packed for the club show setup tomorrow. And that was after working a 9 hour day

Hi, I have a couple of yard J Maples that the squirrels kept eating the bark off, and I'm just assuming it's squirrels because there are a lot of them in my backyard. Anyway, I took some of that mesh tape they use for drywall seams and wrapped the trunks with it, and the squirrels have left those trees alone ever since doing that. Hope that helps.

I put little wire mesh cages around a couple of mine. That has worked so far.
