Bought this Scots pine 3 years ago from Poland. Gave the tree its first styling today.
hmmm... these couple of branches on the right... unless there is some green stuff at the end outside of this picture... there is really no need to style them... they are done...

Finished a first styling on this super delicate CJ. It's hard to see the scale... but the live vein is thinner than a pencil. The current apex will ultimately be sacrificed for that little tuft of foliage on the upper left side. Here's to hoping this thing actually grows this year.

I know they are done. They are jins. If you look qt the picture again, you can see the branches are burned. In one year they will get lime sulphur. They got wire to place the jins in the right direction.

There's a couple of Tilia in the grounds where I live, took some interesting cuttings. Won't get my hopes up tho.
Will leave them out of direct sun and wind

Building a new garden out back. Giving my little Gorilla cart a workout, and my shoveling muscles too.
Built it last weekend with a buddy.
Got the garden mix delivery today while I was at work. There's plenty more to fill still, did what I could before sunset, after work.
I'll set up a trellis for cucumbers on one side. 20250413_171606.jpg20250413_171622.jpg20250416_194314.jpg20250416_194438.jpg

See attached my American Larch, repotted into a Sam miller pot, styled and refined over the last two years with the instruction of Mark Arpag. We repotted the last week of March, but just got this photo taken a few days ago when the weather got a touch better.

Wired the trunk of my itoigawa down a little tighter then repotted it into something that isn't crumbling. I wanted to take more off the bottom of the roots but the soil it was in fell away really easily and I didn't want to bare root it. Hands off the foliage this year. Still a ways to go on this little guy.
