Potted 34 Maples yesterday with the wifie. I am hoping they all make it. Bought them bare root from a friend and they are low graft and about 2 years old.

Put 15 small potted and 6 medium potted Japanese Maples in the mini greenhouse this morning. Want to keep them a little warmer since they were potted last night.

We got probably 8 inches of snow and an inch of sleet so far, just started the freezing rain. Oh and lightning and thundering now too...

Spent time in Biscayne National Park kayaking and dragged my wife and kids to the Morikami Japanese Garden and Museum in Delray Beach. Also saw a big banyan tree in Ft. Lauderdale.

Headed back to frigid Iowa tomorrow.

Was 80 around 3 pm and somewhere in the 40s currently. We will be hoover around freezing this whole week with high around 40. Still much better than other part of the country. Thinking of @Carol 83 this whole week

Walmart had these 4-5 in a pot for around $4. Pretty cool variety of Portulacaria Afra I’m guessing. “Assorted succulent”. Lol. Separated them in their own pots. Also had these “bonsai”. Haha. We’ll see what I can do with it this summer for fun;

Snow day

Power ended up going out for about 14 hours last night. Now we are getting another 4 inches of snow. Not a fan of seeing all of this ice on the power lines, definitely has the trees sagging. Our dogs kept going nuts all night because of the sound of crashing trees in the nearby woods. I-75 is pretty much shut down.
