Those are some nice air plants. What a great view they and you have. Very nice set up. I noticed what appears to be another bonsai. Happy New Year!View attachment 578876
there's another on the other side of the path, the 2 biggest trees in the community, nice spot to sit with my baby daughter and narrate people's lives to her as they pass by

I went scouting today. There's still leaves on many of the trees for identification. I came across this clump of native muscadines. Normally, it's very hard to find where they originate. They go up trees......down trees..... ground layer and start the process over and over again. If I were 30 instead of 70, I would dig it in a heartbeat. I don't think I could do the plant justice. I elected to leave it and have it continue to feed the wildlife. That gives me a better feeling than having it in my garden.

I have the same style propagator and I'm able to root itoigawa juniper in it like crazy. Azaleas too!
Nice! Do you add Clonex or any other rooting hormone to the water? I did not add any.
Going to wait till Suday, which would make it a week, and take a peek...
Another pic from yesterday for tax

And BTW seeing your propagator gave me an idea to ask Santa for mine 😉

cleaning some moss on a jbp that I killed with vinegar a month ago

I also did some not-so-large larger cuts of things I definitely didn’t need. I have one more thick, but small, branch I think I need to take, but I figure it can wait.

This tree needs to go into a box. I don’t have a garage, so by the time I’m thinking about it it’s freezing outside, so I’ve always been bad about boxes. My neighbors have tools they’d be willing to lend me, though.

Yeah I put some clonex in but I don't measure just eyeball it when I change the water. I'm behind on potting up cuttings. I still had a lot of success before I started using clonex.

Had my first go at repotting, using one of many pomegranate cuttings for practice.

I did my best to prune the roots down to a single plane and chopped anything that was crazy long.

Hoping for a healthy growing season in its new home. I'll probably let it grow wild this year.

I appreciate any advice as I'll be potting up the rest of my cuttings throughout the month!

My misfit Japanese maple... brought it in to do an initial style. I do see in time...scarification to that wacky base to make it more of a work of art...than confusion. At least...I see that in the healing of scarification on the trunks of Cosmic design. This will be tame to a degree ... I don't want the base lost to chaos.

Last two images may be blurry...as they are screenshot from the clip on Instagram.
