JMHO: This tree belongs in a round pot grown sitting high on a sort of mound like a tree on a hill.
Thanx Vance, funny because that’s actually pretty much what I am thinking off doing probably next spring.
Nanakamado in fall, it has flower buds so next fall I should have Berry’s too.

Heading down to the local maple farm this morning for help with structure pruning on old main branch cuts. I dont have a lot of hope for this arakawa. It was a another bad internet purchase of a over-hyped tree. Oh well, live and learn, I ain't burning it.

I might however turn it into a airlayering broodmare if she can't make the cut.

Couldn't have been more wrong about this tree. My eyes couldn't get past that first main branch cut but if it heals like this one it should only add character. Its also the best showing for the nebari. Its like getting a new tree :)

Stuck looking at tropicals nor now. Note the snow covered ground out the window. It's warmed up to 3 degrees F. If it wasn't for Grandkids I'd be outa here...IMG_20171231_094338888_HDR.jpg
