The Tree Thread

Soon it will be in fall color. IMHO, it would be in the rules to post a newer pic of this same mundane trio of trees.
And with this,

I've fully exploited the rules of this thread. :p
No more pix of this trio of Norway maples can be used in this thread - aren't you happy that its over? :D

Theres 2 types in those norway maples? Looks like different fall colour.

Yes. One green (in front) --> yellow in fall
Two red (Chrimson King)--> red-orange in fall

Volunteers found in my yard several years ago. Neighbor on one side has the green one (50+ years old) and neighbor on the opposite side has the others (also about 50 years old). The trio is not much bigger than a leaf from the mother tree(s).

I enjoy playing with volunteers found in my yard.

Trying out my new light box today! Just loved all the pretty berries, figured I would share. Not a special pic, just taken with my iPad mini, needs more light in the front, but the box works and I am excited by that...

I think it is beautiful and pleasing to look at. It is not the most well styled or developed according to rules but there is something really pleasing about this little tree. Good job'

My latest shot at another Hinoki Cypress Bonsai I started for the contest. HinokiNational.jpg

Lovely colours. Could you please post a picture / description of your light box setup? Would be interesting to see how it works (in a separate thread of course).
Here's a random tree pic to make this post legit, a work-in-progress cork bark Chinese elm.

Nice grape Fred! Any grapes on it? House of Bonsai has some nice gnarly ones for sale.

Here is a photo montage showing a progression from 2012 -2016 on my kashima maple.

Not a grape, Serg! There are a lot of these in my neighborhood, and none of them have grapes either. My neighbors use these as ornamentals, climbing up fence posts and the like. I keep mine around for the fall color, and I like the trunks.

Great progression for your kashima maple. There is a surety to this progression that makes it relaxing just to look at.

Ah ok thanks for clarifying Fred although you were supposed to post a pic!

Thuja Occidentalis acquired from Suthin this summer. Wire was taken off and will be rewired again next year.

I forgot. Well, here's a picture of my Ulmus Parvifolia Yatsubusa. I took this picture right after a rain, so the bark was less contrasty than usual, and had interesting color.

Wow, I'm so glad you've got that one and we'll get to see it more! Beautiful!

This is the only Thuja I've laid hands on. My fall contest tree. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
