Nice material, massive, strong. I like the central trunk line you made. Are the bottom left and right pieces of deadwood intended as practice but being removed from final design? Which parts will you create an apex from?

Could create apex from this branching since the left side is/was already set in place and thick. The right side had options for raffia and repositioning 😎

For The Left Deadwood, I plan to simplify it by cutting it more. and for the right deadwood, i think I will remove it completely

Flowering quince got its winter trim. Removed all the wire and cleaned up all the dead bits and pruning stubs. It’s absolutely loaded with flower buds! Going into a ceramic pot in spring. 2 seasons old from nursery stock.

Cheap Chinese pot, but it’s oldish so looks good. (Scale of the pot is off because it’s in front of the plant)
