Repotted it up with Boon in early spring here in Norcal and we decided on some primary branches which I wired up a bit later. Then I just let it run to thicken everything up and plan for the next few years.
I don’t like showing my nicer trees (and I don’t have many) but tonight I was kind of meditating on the idea that “your stress means nothing” and had brought this in to assist
I’ve had this Japanese beauty berry for a few years and have been baffled as to what to do with it, as it had great negative but two trunks moving in opposite directions front to back.
A local bonsai professional suggested changing the angle - I never think to do that! Need to add remembering to play with it to my muscle memory…
Gave a shot at a rough wiring, erred towards keeping more than less so I can make some decisions next year.

Long term project to grow out a Beech in a tree form. The asymmetry is there, just a matter of allowing it to thicken up, clip out heavy bits in the crown periodically
