Shohin Acer palmatum in Stone Monkey pot. I'll photograph it again when the foliage has 'relaxed' in a couple of weeks.

Leaves just opening on this Cornus sanguinea. Bunzan pot. Looks a little big at the moment but the proportions will be right when the leaves develop.

Finally found a princess persimmon a a month or so ago. Was told it was a female.

Light pruning, angle change, and went into this cheap Bunzan pot.

Looking forward to learning more about caring for this species.

It's pretty interesting how our bonsai sensibilities change even over a brief time. When I started just last year, I was only interested in developing larger bonsai. I now am very interested in shohin as well. Attached is my first, a Chinese elm - should receive it in the mail today. Who knows, maybe I'll even like literati one day (or not).

I feel I’ve gone the same way. A larger one or two will be nice, but I’m more leaning toward shohin and mame now
