It’s not gonna translate well in a photo but this $3.50 ficus is tickling me as it starts a new flush. I was actually going to give this to my friend, but could t bring myself to. It’s a real low stress just have fun kind of tree that’s still enjoyable to watch grow, especially over the winter. So I bought him the schefflera I posted in the purchases thread instead, haha

and yeah, saved from the bargain bin a few years back

This started with 3 rooted cutting dropped into a hollow rock. The cuttings fused and eventually split the rock. If you look carefully you can still see bits of the substrate stuck in the trunk.
