Tell me something you didn't understand until later in life.

Not a very profound realization but a realization nonetheless:
There is a right way and a wrong way to orient the roll when replacing the toilet paper in the bathroom and which way is the right way is dependent upon whether or not there is a cat living in the home.

I was completely unaware of this and had never even thought about how the roll is oriented until I had completed my degree and was out in the adult working world.

Can't say I am "later in life" but what I am learning and trying to live out is is being kind goes a heck of a lot further than being a jerk even when it is hard and every fiber of your being is saying to be mean. Anger and being mean is laziness in my opinion, there is usually something deeper down that you do not want to confront or deal with so the lazy way out is hurting others. You never know whose life you are going to change with a kind word or action. Positivity breeds positivity.
Exactly. The person throwing punches at Mc Donald's has unrealized/ misdirected anger at an easy/wrong target. Once you look inside yourself, and question your emotions and reactions to stressful situations you will realize being joyful is way better than anger. And I won't allow someone to control my emotions, I'm in charge of my thoughts and reactions, and I choose happiness. A stranger could cuss me six ways to Sunday. IDGAF Now if it's someone I care about acting that way, now I give a F. :)

Toilet paper hung in improper overhand fashion is ready for a kitty slashing.

Are you right or left handed? Do you fold or bunch? I pee sitting down and poop standing up. Everyone is different no one way is the correct way. :)
Such things do not matter. Only the presence or absence of kitty matters. It’s a quantum mechanical phenomenon. Erwin Schrödinger did a whole thing with a kitty and a box to figure it out. It’s science!

Looking back at all the times when I have lost my temper, in not a single case was it the best option.

I'll say it with a meme.....

Seriously though, what I think I've learned is that sexual desire is the most powerful (and possibly the most pernicious) motor of our lives. When it can be replaced by the desire for beauty and love, everything begins to be better...

That to understand why your parents worry about you, even though you are grown up, successful in life or not, you need to have your own children and experienced the same feeling of worry.

Waah..!
I still want ALL THE MAYHAWS!
Well, I USED to be like that. The last few years I'm after quality and simplicity. Less stuff equates to less stress............at least for me at 68 years old. Now, the 25 year old me wanted all kinds of stuff. I gradually found out that I prefer to run my life instead of my life running me. In the end, you have to face the man in mirror.

The older you get, the faster it goes. One day I woke up and realized that even though Ive had a fairly successful life according to the rules of society, I wasted a lot of my life trying to achieve something that was determined by others without regard for my own happiness.

1. Don't relive or dwell on past mistakes and negatives. Learn from them and move on. (Applies to bonsai, golf, and all life in general.)
2. You can't change another person's personality or behavior. Don't waste your energy on bad people.
3. If someone offers you a breath mint... Take it.
4. Only buy used cars.
