Last night was the first meeting of the Nashville club and all the vendors had brought a plethora of trees and pots for sale. I came across some @sorce made pots! Really cool seeing those show up here in TN. I have no trees this size to put in them, but I think I'll just some bloodgrass or something in them this year to spruce up my benches. A porcelain , a white stoneware, and a woodfire body that is sure to flash nice.

These are gonna be unglazed except for 2 days of ash and fire.

If my food is good, this could go down often!

Fire!

Fuuuuuck yeah. I may have just convinced the owner of the studio I fire at to let me do a reduction run. Dave Crone is in on it too!!!. We need about 200 pieces to fill the kiln. Watch out.

Happens this Kiln is a 15 minute walk or a 2 minute drive from my mom's house in Plano, yeah, the tackle box place....and I met Phil http://www.malhiot.com/bonsai.html, who lives as far from me in N.Riverside! Small world.

None of these are mine but I have some in there! The back of the kiln.

My crate. I brought one of my lil guys pots and it got compliments!

The front of the kiln, those big pots are going to get blasted with ash, the main Firebox(where the wood goes) is beyond and above that arch. You can barely make out the stepdowns there, 2 air intakes at each level. This is a well designed kiln, built by a master. 2nd firing!

That's Amy Song of River Song Pottery, it's her kiln. http://www.amysongceramics.com

I think about 12 artists in total will have work in this fire. I still can't believe I am amongst them. Great people.

Unloading March 16th.

Sorce, that is fantastic that you hooked up with Phil M and Amy Song. Totally cool.
I need to drop by

Absolutely love the white ceramic with the ''big lips'', Especially the complete ones, the one that is partly deconstructed, not so much.

"I love big lips.
Its not wrong, Illinois is a blue state. "
