Shrubby crab in summer

I honestly don't know!!:confused::D:D:D:D:D:D
Pretty tree Lance. We got a Profusion and Louisa for the yard this weekend. Wanted a Prairie Fire, but now I see
the Prairie Fire available as a cutting for bonsai. Hope it gets along half as nice as yours! Another mentored fan has arrived :)

Nice Carol. That's where I'm ordering mine from. Was just admiring Lances maples in his 2015 thread Maple in June.
The one his AAC brother potted...sublime.

I'm sometimes mean to trees.....but sometimes they need it. Heheheee.....switch of soil type has got me down to 3 waterings a day. Not even 80, overcast, 50% humidity and breezy.....what the heck!?!?
Container a bit shallow for the current root ball.....meh....seems the more I beat on it, it makes more flowers.:eek:o_O:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Yesm'....It surely do!!!! I'm a bit late with it, but it seems to flower this way. I like the flowers, what can I say?:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
All accounts get settled soon, like Saturday. Nine days of tree abuse! Oh wait, insults!:cool::eek::D:D:D:D:D:D
Mild weather so far, next week is gonna be hot.....vacation....pool...mother of all unicorn pool float...…@WeeMac a bit more comfortable in the pool, not swimming yet...so not perfect.;):(:D:D:D:D

I have a purple leaf crab, and it does the same thing. Thirsty little bugger. I put it in a smaller particle akadama-pumice 2:1 mix this spring, and it has been much better. But it also hasn't grown as vigorously, naturally. If you aren't looking for growth and just want to retain the existing shape, you can go with pure akadama. Crabapples like constant dampness, especially the purple leaf variety.

Looking good @LanceMac10
I forget if you mentioned how old this girl is
or is it impolite to ask a ladies age. Just saying' not flirtin'

Mines down ok since slipping to next size up pot per Brents instructions,
just haven't upped potted the Shirasawanum yet

30-60....had it for 5-6 years. Purchased at BonsaiWest, probably there for a decade or more. Couldn't really tell you, but it does have some age to it.
Not that important to me, but I understand your inquisitive, double-entendre....:cool::cool::D:D:D:D:D

Watch your watering, I'm very reluctant to slip-pot, outside of, like a broken container mishap. Not arguing what you have been encouraged to do, but, ya know, we ain't @Brent ;):D:D:D:D:D:D

Woah dude....wild!
Standard crappy photo!:(:p:D:D:D:D Need to wire a couple young, inner shoots out so maybe I can bring some of the heavy , long ends in.....but it's about the flowers.

It's been rainy.....seems crabby don't air-prune...….o_Oo_O:eek::D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Right?!?! That’s wild for sure. Never seen that before.
