Show us your Urban Yamadori

Because I and many others here are tired of Dario's childish games. And it's worse that good posters stop posting here because of people like him. Dav4 had a perfectly good post that quickly went to shit because of him.

So, if people aren't going to stand up to the trolls and the moderators aren't going to do anything, then people need to stand up to these idiots.

Congrats, you are the 2nd person to call me that. :)

Nice to see the pack is getting together!!!

This is the last I'll post on the matter, but on a thread a little while back, you wondered why, and lamented the fact that, knowledgeable posters like rockm and others aren't posting much, if at all on here anymore. Just so you know, in large part those folks are not posting because of posters like you (yes, I have that straight from the sources).

If you're serious about learning on here, then keep your mouth shut and respect other people's threads. If not, go find some other playground to play in.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I have had countless Pms with other members in how Dario is the laughing stock of the forum. I suggest we all start reporting his posts. With enough numbers we can have him banned for the constant trolling.

ok last one

Olive stump acquired from Sam Adina and then split into 3 pieces and one root cutting. Went from 1 shitty stump to at least 2 phenomenal ones

Back on track. Random what I think is boxwood that grew this way. I just dug it moved it and gave a trim. Looks like a certain eBay seller who has crazy prices on crappy trees.

Oh it's definitely Pom Pom trash. I just hate throwing out something that is alive. I'll mail it to you for free if your boy Tom Brady gets me some serious fantasy pts this weekend!

Dude seriously cut it out. You have a lot to offer here, don't dig this hole so deep you cant get out. There are plenty on here myself included that appreciate your contribution but this has gotten way out of hand and Im starting to lose respect.

Five feet tall bald cypress cut down from 20 foot tall tree. Third year after collection.

Jeremy.....Yours and John's bald cypress trees are the reason I'm trying to find a place to collect some myself.....Awesome BC you got there.

Nathanbs.....Thanks for posting all the pics of actual Yamadori...I was afraid this thread was going to turn into a vacation pic thread just to prove a point.

Sorry about that but your buddy is a condescending arrogant full of himself dilitante who thinks he knows everything about bonsai. He is truly a legend in his own mind. I was making an attempt to show him an easy and better way of posting pictures when after re-reading all of his posts I discovered he simply does not care about this forum or the people on it. As far as he is concerned all of us can kiss his arse.

Comments and critique always welcome. No need to sugar coat, brutal truth welcome & encouraged.

His words, his hubris.

collected yews

I dug these last fall at a nursery that closed years ago. Occasionally the current owner lets clubs come in and dig anything they want for $25 per tree. I was running out of time and grabbed the tall one, then of course saw the other when making my way back to the car.

Love the second one...very nice. Any progress report?

Common privet:
I need to update this trees thread, but it is growing so slow, not much to report.Ligustrum o..jpg

Alder
Alnus spp. (probably glutinosa)
I got this tree from my old Junior College, it grew out of a crack in some pavement. It got smashed repeatedly every time someone stepped into a bed to get to a hose bib. It is growing in a form that mimics one of my all time favorite blue oaks, a tree that has been living as a blow down tree for decades.

Ditch water elm:
I can't wait to chop this tree this spring! really though! I look at the chop sites at least once a week, salivating, with pruners in hand. Also I would love to know what is happening with the roots. I suspect it needs a much tighter pot also this spring. Perhaps a flat?

Thanks for the great topic, so everyone can share his/her trees in the short version.
This giant pomegranate was acquired from my friend who dug it 5 years ago.

A lot of deadwood to begin with!

This Spring.

This Summer.

and this Fall.

Its final style!
