Show us your Urban Yamadori

Vance, I would suggest that we let this thread die quietly now...unless others would like to post pictures of their landscape collected trees, which was all I wanted in the first place.

Dario: I don't care what you do. I was under the impression that you wanted to communicate about bonsai so I made a suggestion to you that I thought would facilitate that issue.

Posting links to every thread you have ever posted does nothing, especially when most of the trees you have posted were not much more than raw stock recently put into a training pot. There is nothing wrong with that, but hoping that members of this forum will take the time to go through all of them is a bit beyond the realm of patience, and as you have found out pisses off some to distraction.

That is fine and not my problem. Can't please everyone...esp the ones who have pre-conceived idea of who you are already. (you know those who are tunnel visioned folks?)

I am here to discuss bonsai...my way when I am ready. You want me to dance to your tune, maybe but don't expect it every time. Push me and the more I won't move. Yes, I can be very stubborn.

As I said, if they are not interested enough to click the link, why should I? I spent all the effort to share and start my documentation there...a few pics here won't help as much. I know it is not the goal of the thread but that is all I am willing to give, $20 worth...not $100. Crucify me.

Re: my stumps, last I checked, he didn't ask for show ready bonsai either (which won't stop me anyway). ;)

Thank you for a very "civil" post.

I would like to see more examples of urbanadori...less of the other stuff. I think everyone has made their points by now.

Here are two more yews dug from a front yard in upstate NY. Unfortunately, these didn't last a year post collection. Man, talk about awesome material.

Here's a few I've posted here before. Ill try and do some individual threads on these trees and provide updates as most of these photos are 1-3 years old.

The first is a chinese privet that was dug out of a clients yard by a local landscaper/bonsai artist perhaps 10 or so years ago.

The second is a peach tree that I dug out of the ground at a nursery that had grown wild from a discarded pit I presume

All I have are those yews I got this spring. Not much to look at right now :o

They are all coming along nicely.

Some more:

a large mulberry origins unknown

Another mulberry this one from Don Blackmond going back in the ground for further development

Now that all of Dario's nonsense has settled down, here is a 25+ year old wisteria dug from my parent's yard in NYC. Pics are from spring 2013, it's started to fill out nicely but I didnt have a chance to take more recent pics before overwintering it,

Yep. All it takes is another jerk to start it over.

Go away troll. You've ruined a very good thread because of your ridiculous need for attention. Notice how nobody is standing up for you? Take the hint and play your inane games elsewhere.

It is always me right? Hint...do not feed the "troll" ;) OR...maybe you are seeking MY attention?

Thank you.

This is the last I'll post on the matter, but on a thread a little while back, you wondered why, and lamented the fact that, knowledgeable posters like rockm and others aren't posting much, if at all on here anymore. Just so you know, in large part those folks are not posting because of posters like you (yes, I have that straight from the sources).

If you're serious about learning on here, then keep your mouth shut and respect other people's threads. If not, go find some other playground to play in.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

You could have just let it be, man...it was over. Why fan the flames again?

Because I and many others here are tired of Dario's childish games. And it's worse that good posters stop posting here because of people like him. Dav4 had a perfectly good post that quickly went to shit because of him.

So, if people aren't going to stand up to the trolls and the moderators aren't going to do anything, then people need to stand up to these idiots.

Large ficus Microcarpa purchased from Bob Pressler and then chopped way back. Wish I had before pics of this one. Did a lot of the chops at his nursery so it could fit in my car. If Bob reads this maybe he can chime in as to its urban origins. Need to definitely post a recent pic of this one as well

You took the words out of my mouth...literally.
