Wow. That is insane. We've gotten more snow in the last week than we've gotten in the last couple of years combined.
Sounds like you'll break out of that no frost days record finally. And then you wake up to an unexpected spike-down. -5C overnight, about 23F.
Expected to be above freezing for a few hours today, but by 2PM dipping into frost, towards the -3, -4c (high 20-ies) range till tomorrow, and keeping this for the rest of the week. 5C during the day, -2 to -4 during the night.

Well, not for me.anything freezing or below is somehow extreme, or that going out in those temperatures is unreasonable.
That's about the temperatures we have forecast for this weekend. One way or another I'll have to help my dad feed his horses in the morning, though I haven't been out as much this winter as normally have in the past.Well, not for me.
Under -10C is cold for my region. -20C is very rare (-4F). But no matter the emps, I will be outside.
Actually really nice, crisp air.
Olives are pretty hardy and can take some cold temps. Depending on the species You could give it extra outdoor protection, (mulch, good shelter & watering before a freeze) I always err on the side of caution and if you can bring it in the garage for shelter... I'd do that. Why risk it?@Michigan Tree Murderer, is that your Olive? Lol
Either I misspelled plants, or autoINcorrect is at it again. But seriously, anybody know how much protection an olive needs? So far, even new growth has been unaffected by mid 20sF. Maybe @leatherback has a suggestion?
I have left my olives out in full winter frost up to -10C / 14f in the past and they normally live. However, I have found that giving them protection below -2, -3C (say, 26F) and not allowing them to be frozen for long stretches of time does result in better growth the year after. So after an initial few nights fo frost, mine move into an unheated shed which normally does to spike down as much and the trees are at a more regulated temp@Michigan Tree Murderer, is that your Olive? how about rain? This is my forecast for the next 14 days. It's the coldest weather in the last 2 years.....I'm even thinking to turn on my portable stove when I watch tv at night. Curiously, my place is tagged as very cold in my island.

Sadly, an average of 1-2 rainy days each month....how about rain?
And I agree. Your place was a lot cooler!
Shocking. Your trees really would benefit from a few days of downpours (As would the island!)Sadly, an average of 1-2 rainy days each month....
