Yes, that's in Fahrenheit.
Think I'll shove a space heater under the house before it gets too extreme. I'd like to get through a winter without a burst pipe.
There's a viable way to drip the water to your wash machine. Inexpensively if you're interested.

Absolutely! Aside from disconnecting the hoses and letting them drip into the machine I've not been able to think of much.
Instal a spighot wye on the cold side if that's
the only line subject to bursting.
Run hose to washer as usual from one side.
On the other side of the wye theres a spighot x 1/4" push fitting that you run a 1/4" line to and run other end into washer drain.
You instal a brass wye with 2 valved outlets.
Before placing down into the drain a good depth and zip tying to prevent jumping out, open valve just enough to het desired trickle into a bucket or jug.

Now mine has to 90° elbow up right out of wye to clear washer. So nevermind the long nipple.
This runs to my ro system.

Well we're in trouble already. Thought I'd try running a load of laundry before the pipes froze to keep them open. Nope, too late. No cold running at all.

I was trying to get away without the space heater under the house because I just don't feel safe with it unattended, but I put it down there now. Hopefully I can away without having to do plumbing work in a puddle.

Here we go again.
Next 3 nights 4F 2F -1°F
Been over 2 weeks since the burds have seen grass. 3rd week coming. The way January is supposed to be.

My brother lives in this ice zone in FL.
Can't believe the 5-8" Southerly snow coming including Louisiana and Texas.

wow, never knew FLorida had a cold winter region.
The citrus farmers turn on sprinklers so ice coats
the fruits and buds to protect from feezing
as much as possible. Only good so low and then weight is an issue.
Looking forward to the football playoff games televised in the snow today.

Man, I want some of that. I'm having issues with the cold right now, but snow always helps.

We're expected to be back above freezing on Tuesday.
Went to feed Dad's horses this morning, and had to chop through 3 inches of ice with a hatchet so they could get water. Look back just a couple minutes later and already ice crystals forming again.

I've thought about doing something like this before, but it didn't feel worthwhile in a rental. I should reevaluate that sentiment.
For now I've just disconnected the hose from the machine and dropped it in the drain pipe. Still frozen solid, but hopefully today it warms up enough to clear it.
Then I just need to get the drier fixed.🙄 Door sensor switch broke open, and I'm missing a piece inside the machine.

Staying inside 😎. Even though it is sunny without a cloud in the sky.
Average last date of frost here is middle of May.
