ROR Trident project

I'll see what I can do this week...it's bothering me too.
Of course, boxes where our kitchen should be, and pictures leaning up against the walls bother me more right now...

Update. Packed with sphagnum, wrapped with Parafilm, then in plastic, secured with aluminum wire.
Hopefully this will hasten the roots' swelling. We shall see.

Just can't believe the speed with which this has developed. Feels like plant here are just sulking in comparison.

The list will get larger... I assure you

Don't forget JBP, ume, maybe an inherited ficus...
I have got two seedlings of JBP on the third year, already been wired for shape last year. Ume, I stratified seeds and will take them out of the fridge in a couple of weeks, but got 3 yamadori prunus (probably cherry), and ficus... don't have ficuses yet... but was thinking in starting a banyan project with banghalensis ficus.

Stratified a bunch in winter (basically, planted them in Jan). First plants in April. Today 2 more seeds germinated. Lesson: They are very irratic when it comes to germinating.

Nice work Brian I like it. A long process with lots of work before you see good results. Hats off to your effort. Now get unpacking and hanging pictures, its the weekend.

Ha! I'm working out of the basement today...hiding out from the cabinet installers, carpenters, electricians, and plumber, all hoping to finish up the kitchen before the weekend hits. Can't recall being as ready for a kitchen sink as we are right now. 22 days feels like 22 years.

That is one awsome project!

Did anyone else notice the loop on the left mid section root? That's the first thing I noticed. Kinda like the redhead among a group of brunettes.

I pruned it back this winter, but need to make a trunk decision. I'll update a little later.
@Microscopic , yeah, it was pretty cool when it appeared, so I figured I'd run with it.

Here it is after leaf drop. Anyone care to draw some pruning lines?
