I've got a few of these left. Unfortunately I didn't twist up my seedlings very much so there isn't much lower trunk movement on any of them. Just for fun/ experiment i cut one down today and straightened it up in its container. Then a family photo, my largest trunks are just under 1" diameter or so.
The tree i cut back in June last year died, I guess it was a bad time to prune?
The others I cut back to a lower whirl over the winter. I've gotten several lower buds popping so maybe I can keep working them down to get some movement.
Anyway, placed my remaining pines in baskets today, no root work just moved full rootballs and packed fresh soil around them.
