That's some growth.... Mine are still much smaller. Are you growing these outside or inside using heating mat?

I did start inside on a mat very early, they have been outside for around 1 month. My dog just crushed them all yesterday chasing a chipmunk. I had soaked them January 1, planted on the 2nd, no cold stratification, so I had a considerable head start for the initial growth.

Will have to wait and see if I can salvage any of them...

All of them?!   I hope they survive! Do you have any more you can at start just in case? A few months delay in 6 years is nothing

Most survived the dog tumble. Decandled a few, crushed a few. Here's my jbp herd today. The 3 in the small black plastic pots are the only cuttings I have left, the ones in the large container and twins in the terra cotta pots were never root pruned

I was looking a little more closely at these seedlings today and some are developing branches. Maybe my dog did me a favor by decandling, lol.

One of my strongest plants has a cluster of buds, would it be advised to go ahead and reduce these?

Just let it grow. The big bud will grow strong, the rest will be side branches. Depending on the way you want to go you select a new top and a side branch.

I've still got a few of these trucking along, it has certainly been fun to play along and learn. The largest is about 26" tall, 3/4" trunk.

I don't see any crushed benches or shattered pots... fingers crossed your in ground trees aren't under that trunk... nice saw, by the way .

Yeah, just a little off your action, luckily the tree didn't fall toward my benches. These in the ground just got thrashed with the limbs. Probably an 80' tall poplar
