Procumbens Nana suggestions

it is not uncommon to work on junipers in the warmer months .... they are in active growth cycles and with proper after care can easily be worked on in warmer months .... not generally as late as mugos but I think pretty close .... I wouldn't go off being crazy with it... and I would not generally work on it that late until I had been feeding it pretty hard for at least a year (i like to get to know them first)

one think people often miss perceive is how long a root bound tree can remain strong and healthy ..... with some of the trees at Elandan not having been repotted since before I was born (I'm 32) I think waiting till a more appropriate time is always a simpler and easier path .... then again having lots of trees that demand your attention is another way to be able to forget about a project tree for a few years :p

ne ways .... good luck... I hope you get to make something truly unique from it .... you found a good one (that'ts harder than you think) ....

Thank you all for your comments. I am not going to touch the roots until next spring. I did a little more thinning and will post some more photos. I will ask for some suggestions on what to do next. I am all in with the multiple trunk idea.

Thanks again all. I really appreciate the comments.

here are some more updated photos. Still not sure the way to go. I thinned out the masses but not sure still.
