The primal urge to get tickets ahhh
This is a great pic! Blue Steel suits you well. You might be a Bonsai nut if as an adult man you take a selfie in a forest with a tree. I know I've done the sameI mean, it should be apparent by now, but I’ll be at PBE this year.
I have my weekend passes and lodging already.

For real. Here, in northern New Mexico, most of the people I grew up with take trophy, photographs with elk or or some other big game that they shot. When they see me posing with big trees in the same way, it makes them laugh. Lol.This is a great pic! Blue Steel suits you well. Not a single portulacaria!? RIGGEDHey All - in case you didn't already know - Jonas and I did a podcast episode on the jury results and the experience of being a juror for the show.
It's particularly relevant for folks who have either previous or future submissions but a good discussion of some species also.

It’s ok Nao. Basically what he said in the podcast is most of the trees just need a few more years development. You get your dwarf jade buttoned up a bit more and it’ll be in the PBE in no time. Not a single portulacaria!? RIGGED
Pumped to listen! I had to tell myself not to listen to it yet, so I could save for today on my long drive up to Peter Tea's Studio todayI posted a video version of the Bonsai Wire Podcast to my YouTube channel.
A discussion with Jonas of our early show experiences and how that shaped the PBE.
Oh I saw alright! As if Naos booth wasn’t already going to be like a department store on Black Friday selling the last of the Cabbage Patch. Now it’s going to be extra crazy! I’m going to do everything I can to score a pot or two. I’m just generally excited for this show. For those of you who follow Nao on instagram, today he announced Tokoname potters Kakuzan and Ikko will be bringing their beautiful handmade pots from Japan and will have a display of them for sale at our tables (yes, tables- we have reserved a record 7 tables One for Kakuzan and Ikko, one for myself/checkout, and five for Nao’s pots)
Ikko is a shohin pot specialist, and his work is particularly exquisite. Here is a blurb on him http://tokonamebonsaipots.com/page/05_ikko.html
This past May we got to host Kakuzan for a week. He did a demo for our bonsai club and bought ten pots to sell, two were exclusive designs he special made in collaboration with a friend who does surface decoration for his trip to Oregon. I am sure he might have some exclusive one of a kind works for PBE and can’t wait to see what he and Ikko bring.
A blurb on Kakuzan, who is now the oldest non-retired maker of large bonsai pots in Japan: http://tokonamebonsaipots.com/page/03_kakuzan.html

The most efficient part of any sales operation should be taking the customers' money.Use your elbows!
