I discovered that these species are not easy to bonsai. The branches are so easy to break off at the branch/trunk union.... can break off from the water pressure from the hose when watering them.

All kidding aside, it would be cool to meet him. He seems to be a down to earth man in the videos I have seen. If I meet him, it will be low key for sure.Way to play it cool, and not freak out. Smooth operator.

I have already decided that it is all clip and grow for the first 30 years. The result will be a big trunk mass. I will be gone by the time it needs to be wired.

I am moving to PA. I missed seeing Sergio during the MABS in May of this year. May be someday soon in the future.

Yea next year I think I'm going to try and organize a bnut meet up at MABS if there is enough interest.
Maybe Saturday morning breakfast in their back room where they served the breakfast. Seems like it might be the best time to get most of the nuts attending. When we get closer, I'll try to arrange that.
