This is a new glaze I'm working on that turns dark blue at cone 10 and purple in flame, but here it is under-fired so it precipitates matte, cream-colored crystals. The flame brought it locally to cone 10 on the front surface. I like making deep pots that allow the glaze and flame to make patterns on the surface.
Always nice to add a new glaze to my repertoire. I will make some shallower, larger forms next.
