New Bonsai Nursery

I have been looking for a Stewartia to play with.
Yeah, they're one of my favorites and are surprisingly easy to grow in spite of appearing to be the opposite. I'll have a bunch coming out of the field this coming dormant season.

Great meeting and sharing conversations with you today, Dylan. It was worth the trip getting up there to check out your trees and learn about your nursery business. As expected, I was happy to have adopted more than one tree - looking forward to seeing what your winter harvest brings!

Hi, I'm new here. I have started a bonsai and specialty nursery, Cedar Rose Nursery, here in Placerville, Ca. It's between Sacramento and and South Lake Tahoe. I'd love to have people come and visit......and buy things dagnabit!!!!
Please get in touch with me at cedarrosenursery@gmail.com or by phone/text 707 217 8314.

I have unusual starts such as Stewartia, Styrax Millettia, Magnolia, larix, Picea Asian Carpinus and more.

I have lots of field grown bonsai stock including trident maple, Japanese maple, Styrax, Stewartia, Oriental liquidambar, cork elm, dwarf japanese maple and ornamental cherries. The plants will be harvested from the field this coming winter, and are available for reservation with a deposit. All have been wired, bent and have had root work. Please come up and check it out.

Thanks! Dylan F.
Hey Dylan,
Afew photo's would help.

Yeah, it's

Yeah, It's super competitive on Ebay.com. I am working on getting a real website put together made by a real website designer. My prices will be much better there than on Ebay.com. Thanks for keeping me in mind.

Dylan
Thank you! I appreciate you!

I wish I still lived in Sacramento so I could visit your nursery. The trip from Atlanta is a bit far, though I have certainly contemplated a bonsai garden tour vacation back to California since Georgia has so few options.

May I order some Juniper, Larch, or Pine? Please let me know if you have them available.

If you're going to post your business, and I am in favor of going so, you HAVE to make it STUPID SIMPLE for people. Include a link to your eBay store, website (yea, you need one), etc.

Cedar Rose Nursery on eBay!
Now people can go shopping.

Excellent podcast with Jonas. Being a crop farmer, growers always interest me greatly! Maybe one day I will join the practise ;)!

Keep it up Dylan!

Too far away for me to visit. But will check you out once you have a web site. I hate Ebay unless its a straight purchase cant stand getting out bid. keep posted.

Hey everyone- I just wanted to say that I ordered 3 Korean Hornbeam, 3 European Hornbeam, and 4 Stewartia from Dylan the other week. They all arrived in great shape- healthy, watered, and expertly packed. I should also make note that I am in Pennsylvania, so the trip across the country was no big deal. I'll be ordering again. Thanks Dylan!

Text last week but have not heard back. How have you guys been contacting Dylan?

I can vouch for Dylan as being one of the best bonsai growers in the country. His material is off the charts good. I went to visit and bought ten trees. They are still in the ground. He has my name on them. He is honest, and a pleasure to buy from. I suggest emailing or calling him directly. I doubt anyone will ever be disappointed from material he has grown.

If he had a decent website he would be sold out immediately and could easily double his prices.

All his trees are grown with purpose. All of them have tight bends right as the trunk comes out of the ground. You can’t get these trees unless you start with properly wired cuttings. Then grow them in the ground.

My highest recommendation without reservation.

Give me a shout when you get some beefy Stewartias or liquidambers ready to sell.

Dylan, congratulations! Not an easy business to perform with bonsai. Yet I’m delighted nfor you!
I will definitely hope to make the visit in due course.
If you have not already put in a lot of conifers such as Pinus Thunbergii and also parviflora Glauca for field grown you might do such.
Best wishes to you vh

Dylan, any chance we will get to meet you at the Pacific Bonsai Expo in'24? Certainly wouldn't be as long a drive from the Bay Area.
I, too, wish you great success. You seem to be aware of the species many of us want!

Oh snap, @Cedar Rose I just found one of your business cards in my wallet. Did I buy a white Chojubai from you at the Rendezvous?
