Top 3 currently are Rob Wallace out of Columbus NC, hes in the Blue Ridge Bonsai Society, hes been doing bonsai and pottery for a while now. And plans on ramping up production next year, he does a firing of about 30 or so pots every couple of months and I like his prices, he just did a firing a couple of weeks ago and has some new pots on his etsy

I am thinking of buying this pot as I love the texture and the color on it:

His prices seem very reasonable for such great looking pots. I’m ordering one or two at some point.
They are very well crafted and solid pots and he has enough variety that most people could find something that appeals to them.

Variety for sure! And it’s consistent too. And he’s not terribly far from us - it seems you are south of me. I’m north east of Columbus. Does he only sell online or can one visit his shop?

I don't know honestly, I have only purchased his pots online.

I have one Sonny Boggs pot, and agree he is a great potter.
This is not my complete Boggs collection, but all that were not in use at the time.
He will even do requests for custom pots.
I am certain there are time constraints involved like if he is preparing for a show.

I have done custom Ikers pots too and value their quality.

I just realized I must have clicked someone else’s name - I thought yours said you were in Ohio lol my mistake.
The winters are crappy enough here, wouldn't want to be farther north...........

I got my first handmade pot about a month ago from Justine at forest inn Pottery, nice little pot. The 2nd one i received Tuesday from Robert Wallace at Wallace wood pottery, also a great pot. Can’t wait to grow my collection, and I recommend these 2 great artist. 6D32237E-3C40-4CFA-A281-34072CC0F627.jpeg4F8C07D8-4E30-44D0-8123-01254364DBC3.jpegA8E931BC-2ADF-4EB5-9638-69F955DE141A.jpeg11BBBC68-CAA5-4A80-BBBE-F2D35A1B234B.jpeg11BBBC68-CAA5-4A80-BBBE-F2D35A1B234B.jpeg29DC65C2-F3DC-43D4-890B-1DC44C61DBB9.jpeg

Sara & Vicki are #1 and #2 for me. If I'm looking for something specific to match a tree, those are the first two places I usually check.

I like Chuck's stuff (consistency!) and Sam's, too.

Appreciate all the other leads in the thread. The thing I would like to see more America potters making is slab squares and rectangles.
