The Bonsai Fairy was looking after me today!

I went to Habitat for Humanity to donate some stuff. After unloading the truck, I realized I was parked right next to two old hairdressers chairs. Like barber chairs with the hydronic lifts.

I asked how much? $25 for one or $30 for the pair.

Sold!

Went to Lowes for table tops.

An hour later, this is what I've got:

Nice opportunity. How high do they go?
I haven't measured. If you need more height, you set a milk crate (or preferably a Japanese Beer crate) on top, then optionally use one of those flat rectangular turntables.

Combine these with old height adjustable office chairs and you're set!

I made these down in the barn. It entertained the horses.

The table tops cost more than the bases! The tops cost $18 plus tax each. Lag screws were $5.

I don't know, 50 - 60 pounds? The chairs parts were surprisingly heavy. The new wood tops don't weigh much.

I'll compare one to a 50 lb sack of feed and let you know. Not too hard to move, tilt it on edge and roll it around.

I'm looking for something portable I can just set up on the yard and work on a tree without setting up a table. Portable enough to throw in the back of pick up for a study group or workshop. I think I have it, will work on it when I get home.

I'm looking for one for several years, Didn't find one that is "payable" for the moment. This remembers me to keep looking.
