Late Very cold weather incoming be aware!

Same boat I was planning on repotting today but with cold coming thinking I should wait.
Trouble is everything is pushing growth inclined to wait a few days and bring plants that are pushing growth inside.

Dave, what are your plans for deciduous that have not been repotted but are pushing growth?
All my repotted trees are coming into the garage. Junipers and pines will get tucked into mulch on the ground.
Anything with fully open leaves is going into the garage… They are most likely going to get damaged by freezing temps. Anything else that has swelling buds without open leaves is most likely going to get mulched but left outside. Some of these trees have swelling buds and have already been repotted with some root work done… But as long as the soil doesn’t freeze hard, they’ll be fine . Conifers that haven’t been root worked or heavily wired recently will go on the ground. Others that have been re-potted will go into the garage. Fwiw, I'm likely to throw a sheet over those trees left outside with partially unfurled leaves... they probably don't need it but it'll make me feel better.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was thinking. I just spent 2 hours moving things around. I moved several things that have to be repotted into my shop because I won't be able to do any repotting until next Sunday. I'll repot those this afternoon during the storms.

It's been 50's and 60's here and dropping down to around 11 degrees up here so ... yeah. I'm taking a few things back out of the ground and covering up the rest with layers of dried leaves, blankets, tarps. I sure enjoyed my once a month trip to Atlanta this weekend. Fun to stop at Plant City Bonsai and see so many things in bloom around the city.

In France and other places in Europe, we've hit record highs in February.

Last year we had a very unusual cold spell coming from Russia, here, near Orléans, we had smthg like -9/+2 (15.8/35.6).

This year, on February 27th, we had 7.5/21.6 (45.5/70.88)

Getting back to almost normal : some light showers of rain after over two dry sunny weeks, today 5/17, still well above the average temperatures. The national weather agency forecast showers of rain and temps between 4 and 15 for the next two weeks.

Weather isn't the same as climate, but here, we can see more and more olive trees that have survived the past three years. It was just impossible before.

We will be having a low of 15 one night this week. Everything I have is still dormant and mostly mulched in - I'm guessing it should all do ok? I have a few that gave been reported going into the garage. I also fear I've lost my largish hinoki - all the junipers and boxwoods are showing green again but it just keeps looking browner.

If they’re dormant, you should be fine. Anything that is growing should be protected from freezing temperatures.

I kept a couple little crabs I received from evergreengardenworks last spring, in my detached unheated garage. It's been a long cold winter, but December was a bit mild, and they are fully awake. Tomorrow is going to be a high of 19 degrees. They are in the house, under lights, fully leafed out and blooming. The beautyberry kept in the same place is still asleep.

We'll have freezing temperatures tonight. Haven't had such a late cold front in a long time. I'll be lugging my tropicals back inside.

Eastern PA finally had a good ol fashioned cold winter, we're about to dip into some pretty cold days but I'm glad. The last few years I was worried about trees waking up early. Not this time
