Just wanted to share

Well @just.wing.it ,

see the topic ----- On the Sizes of Bonsai trees, ---------you just hit the nail on the nail
on the head.

Why do small trees need company, should they not stand on their own?
If you keep up this idea that they can only be displayed in groups and with
furniture or figures or scholar stones, they will never be appreciated for the illusions
that they are ----------- small trees.

Just cute.

Additionally, it is good to note that the Japanese, can rent antique pots, stands,
ornaments and so on for competitions.

Thus avoiding what happens down here in the annual Horticultural Show,
one you are performing and two, folk start complaining that they saw that
last year or the year before.

Think about it. You have 10 stands and say 200 or 300 mame' or pea sized bonsai.
You have to keep balancing the stands, eye is led where, who takes top [ mountain]
middle [ plains ] bottom [ seashore etc.
After 10 years you are repeating.
Much space to store the stuff is needed and the stands are not cheap.

Once again ----------- it is all about the tree and your skill at making it all
believe able.
Good Day
Anthony

Amen brother!

I didn't read all the above reply's,
Well you should, it's a good discussion!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful display, perhaps you have a few more from this show, looks to be a very quality show.

I think the display is great, but if it could be made better, who would mind that? I agree about the pot under the zelkova, and that yellow pot would look great. I also feel the way the pine points away is distracting. I had a set of shohin all worked up to start a display, but couldn't find the right combo, with the right species, and the right pot color ect.... so I quit trying. I think you have to have a large variety of trees to do the perfect display. The other thing that is distracting for me with this, is that the trees are all about the same size. And too close to the size of the spaces in the stand.

But the trees are outstanding for sure.

Nice, thank you! What is the deciduous tree? Very nicely ramified.
