Yeah... I planted all 6 in the ground as garden plants, next to north facing wall for shade.

Perhaps I will take cuttings/air-layers in the future for bonsai or extra plants.

Chicken wire is to keep rabbits out and deter roaming rats.

Yes. it is good idea. You can make cutting or airlayering these for bonsai later on

I transplanted one SMS quince one week ago. It already had a big flower bud. I found it was on the ground this morning!

Instead of ignoring it, I opened it up to learn the flower pattern. Here it is.

These are great.How long will a seedling start flowering?
I am planning on growing these.Chaenomeles Japonica seedlings.I am finding these very interesting and I am considering selling mini forests of them or clump styles of 3,5 or seven in maybe 2” blocks of stonewool.I am liking the stonewool because I only need to water once every three days!!!

This time of the year is blooming season for quince in my area .

one of its branches has a lot of flowering buds which will give red flowers






this one was airlayered in 2019. Just transplanted to current pot recently. It has only one bud


this Chojubai is almost blooming around the year !
