This one too. There are 5 petals on one flower: red, white, half red and white, and two petals with white-red-white. Amazing! Its red is so deep bright as arterial blood!!!

This Chojubai was transplanted about 2 months ago. I separated the root suckers for propagation .

This Sun Moon Star branch was air layered in 8/2019 and separated in October 2019. It has a lot of flowering buds at this time. I really like the way it comes.

I transplanted this contorted flowering quince this morning. It was in one gallon pot.



It has a lot of flowering buds




It is placed into the glazed rectangle pot. I will do air layer at the arrow this year.

Interesting growth habit! Good choice to layer off that branch. Are you going to completely remove the base of that branch when the layer is finished?

This group of sun-moon-stars (SMS) quinces were produced by air layer last August. They have a lot of flower buds at this time.

This contorted quince was taken pictures this afternoon.


I know its flowers are not as beautiful as SMS but its branches with flower buds is exceptional!!!! I can sit and look at them over one hour without boring!!
