When you say spray, do you mean fungicide/pesticide or misting?

I'm referring to fungicides and pesticides. I wouldn't use those in this scenario, they won't rescue a single needle and certain types of sprays may make recovery harder.

Thanks for the advice. I think I just had a few days when it was over-watered but it's holding steady since then. I have faith that the tie down plus a little heightened vigilance will see this tree along well. I finally have some benches setup on my rooftop garden which is the first spot up there I trust to be out of the shade, so I'll move it under a bench where it can get attention everyday whole staying out of high sin.

another one destined for the compost bin. it was fun while it lasted, and I learned a great deal. most important lesson is to always secure trees in their pots.
