Good work!

I like the pot, but not with this tree.
Great flowers.
Nice Bee shots!

Photo #1 is from March 10 2016 after its first pruning in over a year and a half. Photo #2 is from today. Vigorous little growers!! New pot I like much better. However, the back side of the pot/tree has some carving on it, which at the time of the repot I thought was too busy. The other side is shown in the next post. They really never stop flowering. It's continued all winter although diminished through the darker months. The first 2 photos are from Feb. 10 2018, before and after its only pruning for a year. The last 2 photos are March 10, 2018 as new growth is forming and flower buds emerge.

New species for me too, how do you care for it in winter?
I have a couple. In my climate they have to come in, in the fall. They do fine inside under lights, but get a little leggy. Once outside again, they grow like crazy.

Mine is kept in a quasi- greenhouse for the winter......sliding glass door replacements for walls with a conventional roof. I keep it at 62 F during the day and 54 F at night.

That is a really nice grewia. I have a couple much smaller, less developed ones. How did you get the leaves to reduce? Even my smallest seems to have big leaves, which sort of ruins it.

how often does it need watering in the greenhouse. Thanks
watered every two days. I have a box fan blowing in there always, which seems to dry things out faster. They're are bit of a water hound.

Thank you. Grown from a cutting, 25+ years. Not sure what to tell you about the leaves other than ramification. There are some big one on it if you look closely. That happens when it's cut back hard. They reduce as the season moves on and the large ones brown and fall off. The flowers are also larger at the beginning of the season. Normally flowers buds form at the end off an extended shoot, but as you can see it has changed that growth habit with age.

I'm not sure if I mention this earlier, but the flowers on this only last one day. Each morning I cut off the previous days flowers and within a few hours they are replace with new ones. It's an amazing plant. This show two days of cutting.

Which cultivar is this (or is there only 1?), I want the same one, but I can only find "Grewia occidentalis".
