Green Island Ficus pot and stand help

Well I was able to throw a stand together this weekend and thought I'd share. It nothing special and made out of scrap MDF, but it's a start. Still don't really had a accen to use but I'm working on it. Enjoy!

That is one more stand then I have and for what it is looks nice ;)

This ficus has adjusted really well to being in under the lights. Actively budding out and building density.

Just a reminder this tree is for sale. I may wire it soon and then I may decide to keep it... Or raise the price!

I agree with your critique. I think between a slight angle change at repot, and wiring or thinning the back branch should resolve the issue.
That back branch is not in harmony with the rest of the branches...look at its direction...Maybe better to remove it...You can make a nice semicascade with a top...out of the box style.
I did not finish reading the thread when I replied...it reminds me of my malpighia.

I actually ended up working on the tree last night, and made some decisions on a few branches. They were either too thick, lanky, or had a fresh bud to take over in the future. I had to start rebuilding the structure for the future. The apex needs to grow and be worked on in the future. I'll probably write a blog post with some more thoughts later.

This has progressed nicely since my last update, though it has been on my blog quite a few times, including a new post next week. I had decided to stop growing my tropicals indoors under lights due to the fact that my trees struggled through the last two winters and set me back. This will stay at the nursery in their heated tropical greenhouse.

Just to round out this topic, the tree being displayed this fall at our clubs show. It was t quite ready for show but I think in a few years it will look much nicer.

And a close up. Needs ramification especially in the apex.
