So here is a current Sequoia I'm working on, currently in dormancy in an unheated garage. My concern is that the garage is well insulated and almost never goes below freezing, but it's the best option I have. This is the second wintering in the garage, we'll have to see how it responds. My long term goal was to increase the trunk size then start working the branches, but as fussy as these guys are, I may start branch development early and hope the trunk thinkens over time using sacrifice branches. I'm afraid if I wait too long to start working the branch development, some other unforeseen accident will kill it before I can try and learn proper styling methods for Sequoia's.
