Eastern red cedar, W. pine & Norw Spruce Help!

You keep the wind and snow off the trees.
I agree with keeping the wind off but without snow covering them,I'm afraid my trees would get too cold.
I actually shovel extra snow onto them. This year I plan on using a blower to get even more on them. Just so I don't need to worry about freeze ,thaw cycles.

I didn't mean show I meant sun. I don't know how I made that mistake unless my computer it trying to correct what I mean to say again.
 
Would love to see pics of the trees mentioned. I'm zone 6b (tropical to you) but I just set my trees on the ground near a fence and haven't lost one yet.
