Actually, both of you I guess. Knee jerk reactions to this only lead to mindless violence. What Radical Islam is doing is not mindless. They believe what they believe and are deliberate and justified in their minds in doing so. Calling them mindless sub humans is a disastrous conclusion on our parts. I am reminded of the accepted opinion of the Japanese as small, stupid and inept at the beginning of WWII which led to the death of a lot of American GI's when they discovered the Japanese were a very capable determined and talented opponent.

I am well aware of their capabilities. (They are rather limited as far as attempting some kind of political goal through terrorism). What needs to watched is the slow methodical and legal cultural change they (some? most?) seek. I want no part of it.

Perhaps because not all a profet claims, is true. As said. Jesus was crucified for his claims. So in his own time he was not believed.. It is hard to judge what really happened some 2k years ago to be true or not.
Religion is not based on rational thinking anyway, which is all in all, the fundamental basis of the mess the world is in anyway.

There is a difference between the truth and what people perceive as the truth. If your religion believes the Jesus was a prophet then your religion believes that Jesus spoke the word of God. There is no allowance for acceptance of a false prophet only condemnation. If the Koran says that Jesus was a prophet and you say that he was not you are in essence denying the Koran. You can crap on the Christian Bible but you cannot look sideways at the Koran.

It is usually those without some sort of religious experience in their lives that make this kind of mindlessness assertion that religion is not based on rational thinking. Thinking that what they believe is totally rational and logical they come to the conclusion that to believe anything other than what the believe is stupid. I know-----I used to be an atheist.

An off the wall youtube video is certainly not a sufficient argument. To me, and I mean no offense, but it shows you are too easily influenced and are unable to think for yourself? Maybe 'mainstream' would be more polite?
Anyway, I would be more than happy to explain my (!) faith to anyone open to it. I think you will find it enlightening (I know something can be taken from it, even if you are of a different faith- so long as you are willing to listen). However I am not going to waste my time talking to an audience that may or may not be there.
