Climate change

Many consider the sun the energy source of the future.

You realize that with this one statement all your credibility has vanished. The sun "IS" and always has been and always will be the source of energy on earth as long as it lives.

Everything on earth that releases energy is from the sun. From exploding suns a billion years ago giving as radioactive minerals to the fossil fuels we burn today are the suns energy from a million years ago being burned off in every drop of oil you use. Even burning a piece of wood is releasing the energy of the sun to grow it in it's burning carcass.

Try again......

And if you would have actually READ the link I provided, and paid attention, you would have seen that that text was italic, and copied-pasted directly from the source provided. These are not my words, they are quoted from the referenced site. How they word things it nog on my hat. But well, spelling out technicalities instead of reading the message. I did nt expect much more.

Well maybe you should start thinking for yourself rather than linking stupid stuff

and i'd love to see where in the scientific litterature someone stated that Forida should be over water by now. Again that was probably something misquoted by media or politicians, what they say whatever side they are is rarely scientifically sound.
I think it was the smartest guy I know on climate change talking about Florida....Ted Danson

Let's cut to the chase: If we all bow down and admit this global warming scenario is correct what do you expect us to do?
I've seriously asked that question in this thread twice.

Not even a peep. They talk a mean scenario but have no answers. But I bet they use fossil fuel up the wazoo. And...I bet they contribute their share of Co2 also. Just like Al Gore. All the liberals and do gooders are great talkers but it takes someone like Trump to actually get something done, whether you agree with his politics or not he is a do-er and I bet that pisses alot of liberals and doo gooders to no end.

Hey @Cypress187 and @leatherback and @AlainK here is the good news. I bet that this problem will still be here in fifty years. I bet we are still burning coal and oil and I bet we are talking about the same shit. The good news...we will all be dead and you won't have to worry about it anymore. The earth won't be an ice ball and it won't be a firey Hell either.

Sorry to let reality ruin your nice dream..

For power production......

Total fossil fuel energy consumption including non-electricity. (cars etc)

Replace fossil fuels? Not gonna happen. Good news? Doesn't need to!

Have no fear, I'm not a communist, I'm a socialist :D

Being European, I know what communism, and fascism is. I know much more than you about all that. I know it in my own flesh, where I live and from my family.

That's why I hate nazis, fascists, and why I'll always fight against half-wits that pave the way for con-men and their stupid supporters.

As long as I live, I'll try to make stupid people get the light, mind you, that's not religion, it's just being intelligent (from latin "intellegere").

Can you imagine, I live in a world where only bad people have guns, I live in a world where more and more people want to share, not exclude.

I won't develop, you wouldn't understand. Can you understand what common sense is ?....

Oh that's not your religion, is it ?
"Have no fear, I'm not a communist, I'm a socialist." - That's what they all say before they truly show themselves.

"Being European, I know what communism is, and fascism is." - Communism and fascism are two sides of the same coin. The inner core of that coin is the desire to force people by any means to do the thing they believe. For this very reason, I believe you know what communism is, and fascism is. It's who you are. The moment you call others stupid and try to "make stupid people get the light", you revealed yourself. There is a vast chasm between educating people and making people get the light. I think you are on the other side of the chasm.

That's why I hate people who try to force people to do the things they believe instead of just living according to the things they believe. If you believe oil is bad for the environment, stop using them. Don't own gasoline or diesel cars. Don't drive electric cars unless they are charged by solar/wind energy. Stop buying any goods derived from oil or manufactured with oil as energy. If CO2 is so bad for the environment, by no means stop all your activities that produce CO2.

I've seen first hand supposedly intelligent people made mistakes that kill thousands. I've witnessed my own kins and friends died from the actions of supposedly intelligent people who thought they knew better than us and wanted to force us toward communism. In the end I believe the elitists hide under the guise of "intelligence" trying to make "stupid people see the light" and do whatever the elitists want.

When it comes to the environment, I've met thousands of so called halfwits by you that do more for the environment that those claimed to be environmentalists. These supposedly simple farmers/hunters/factory workers are very conscientious of what they put in their land and are doing everything they can to keep the land and air clean. I know farmers who live on the same land for generations and want to keep the land clean for generations to come. They are the ones who do alternative crops so they don't have to use chemicals. They are the one who grow their own food, manage species in their land by selective hunting etc..

I once lived in a place where only bad people have guns and made others do whatever they want. I risked my life to flee from there. Now I live in a world where I get to keep what I make and pay taxes for the common society services. The key thing I keep telling people is that the taxes are for the common society services e.g. roadway, utility infrastructure, protection etc.. I do not want to pay taxes for "society good" because that where the communists hide themselves. I want to be able to give generously, on my own term. Please don't tell me that the French are more generous because they already pay through "charges sociales". I've had French people tried that argument on me. Unless the citizens can opt out of those "charges sociales", they are taxes.

I am not sure you can even fathom what common sense is.

I normally stay away from these arguments. Somehow your post was just too much to hold my peace. Now that I've expressed my view. You can go on do whatever you want, just know that I'm going to do whatever I'm at liberty to do in my country! God bless the USA!

If you would look at the sites you could read in the article from Chalmers University of Technology:
I think if you would look for it, you would find that solar and wind energy generate more jobs and income than oil industry.
I believe you. There are more job/watt in solar and wind energy. The question is whether society can afford that job/watt ratio.

Especially if you compare apples to apples. Remove the govt subsidies on wind and solar. Remove the tax credits and then see where it stands. These technologies can’t stand on their own. Solar and wind would fold tomorrow without govt subsidies that I pay for. Tesla would have went out of business six years ago if not for Obama and his mass give away.

Rush Limbaugh always says to look at the money trail. It always tells the truth.

@Bananaman
When I think about following the money on this one it leads me to believe that the government will not let go of oil because it’s big money. They don’t want clean options because they make more money this way.

There was a story today about nestle again.
Big corps legally messing with the water in rivers pumping or dumping. How can we let this happen?

Of course let's take the advice of people like Ted Danson, Al Gore and John Kerry; real giants all.

This gentleman gave you the answer right here.

"You" do as a clean person all the things he mentioned in his post. Hurt those pesky polluting corporations right where it hurts. In the pocketbook. If you care, show it. Walk the walk and stop talking the talk.

The 7.0 earthquake in Alaska will be attributed to climate change. This one made the news so it carries clout on the news disinformation stage.

Mark my words....

Wait for it......

It doesn’t hurt to save when you can. To try and make it cleaner. I will always try. I won’t just quit. Thanks.
