How about a training flat?
It grew fine. no problems so far... I noticed it drinks lots of water, more than the other ones I have. Had a bit of scale but nothing serious, easily handpicked...Awesome, you're doing something right if your leaves aren't covered in brown cankers. These tree's leaves always look like hell in my corner of the world

Well done chop. That is exactly where I might have cut it, if it were mine.
The small pot will be okay for this year. I too would have moved it into a larger grow out container. But if you didn't have one on hand, like most of us, you make do with what you have. Looking good.
I agree with your comments about mulberry needing to be a larger bonsai, rather than smaller. That is making good use of the natural traits of the tree.
Nice.
lol..Like I said in my previous comment, it is gone... I think a bird or something ate it.wow, thats a nice little bud poking out on the bottom left. Protect it!
I think I got a white mulberry... I don't think the American red mulberry can be found here... My question, initially, was if it were a white or black mulberry... not that it really matters though. This might be of some use:
No bleeding whatsoever. It may depend when you cut it maybe?!Nice work!
Look forward to more updates on this one
May I ask if you had any problems with bleeding when making big cuts/chops?
I've read somewhere that bleeding can be incredibly hard to stop on these which makes me a little afraid to touch my own M.Nigra...
Nice. I have a morus rubra coming in a week or so, whole new world for me. Any tips?Though I would update this. It’s been growing. It pushed some this year and now seems to have stopped. Defoliate one branch (except the leaves at the tip) to test what happens. It’s putting some fruit too.
