That is nice, a tree with natural character. Don't try to do anything for a year or two, just keep it healthy and growing. Looking forward to when it is time to begin working on it. Probably 2021 or 2022. Give it time to develop a strong new root system.

Yep that’s the plan . This one along with about 15 others ..hornbeam , beech, Douglas fir and bald cypress .

Yes, very interesting! I see a lot of this action down along the creek. Ash, alder, cottonwood, vine and big leaf maples and and a few others. This is the Beaver State after all. However, I haven't seen many I would consider collectable. Most are in the flood plain and deeply embedded in rock.
