Are those rectangles worth that much? I'm pretty sure I bought one in a bonsai auction

I have no idea, from what I hear Wigerts has competitive pricing. They had relatively basic and reasonably priced pots along with much more expensive/detailed pots from other countries.

My trees base measures 24”x24” so I found one that would work and cost $1000.00
This to me seems reasonable but when I told my friends they thought I was insane for spending that much for a pot. A friend sent me plans to build a bonsai ‘pot’ from treated plywood and it does seem like a fine temporary option.

Guess it all depends, the same guy who couldn’t believe I’d pay $1k for a pot just happily spent more on a roof rack for his car.
