This thread is for known cultivars, not unknowns.
I suppose it's how one perceives the thread title, but if they read the first post it's clearly written. I don't think it's to hard to notice the trend if they looked throughout the thread with every flower picture having a name to it.Maybe the title can be changed, because it reads as if this is where identification happens.

I rate is highly. One of the best white and red mix azaleas. The red stripes range from very small dots to entire flowers. The red is quite dark and not pinkish or blueish. The blotch is reasonable prominent. Flower shape is medium, a bit larger than Kozan, and the flower could be called an 'elegant flower shape' aka korinzaki.
Leaves are not small but normal in size. 'Kisshoten' has been used a lot in recent crosses by the Japanese, creating a whole new generation of satsuki.
Also this year just a think trunk only partially leafed out won the no.1 award for best flowering satsuki:
It might be a mistake to try identifying your azalea on the basis of its first blossom. One of the great attractions of Satsuki is their ability to throw solid dark [usually salmon, pink, red or lavender], solid white, and a mix of both colors on the same tree at the same time. Wait for a few more to open before rushing to a conclusion.@Pitoon
I'm sorry for my post a slight misunderstanding on my part.
