Many thanks Judy, Azbonsai and Djtommy. The J. Larch needs a different pot, considering pulling out the rock to turn it into an exposed root?
The smokebush (Continus - variety unknown) leaves have reduced so well.

We haven't had a killing frost yet, but the trees don't care. The maples have dropped their leaves (with a few exceptions as shown) and now is the time that the oaks are in their glory. Early morning light.
