Are the leaves supposed to look like this on a Fukien Tea?

Hello, Update on my first Carmona bonsai, when I first got it around 10 days ago there was a few yellow leaves with black dots that would fall off once flicked.

But now after around a week of having it, a lot of new growth has appeared, but the leaves are light green to yellowy, should it be this way?
Will it become dark green once it matures?
Sorry for the noob question. >.<

I water it on observation, usually once every two-three days.
I keep it indoors, and it gets a generous amount of sun each day.

Thank you for reading!

It's nothing special - just a small plant that I bought a couple of years ago from a big box home good store. I've been keeping it to see how they do in this climate. The answer - fine as long as I protect from frost.
