A little pine work in th back yard today...

Its always interesting to have some pine experts working in the yard...
Mario is high up there in that first photo...I don't even like being this tall.
Once the tree was reduced to a totem pole, he hopped down and dropped that puppy.

That's what I do for a living. We'll I don't climb too many trees anymore but I get to tall younger guys to. I fly around in buckets and operate their big macinery.

It took about 90 minutes once he was up in the tree.

They're hauling out 4 100' tall pines, 8' at a time, through a 6' wide gate along a path that goes directly through my bonsai garden; trees on both sides. It's amazing to watch their precision...quite a trade.

I did tree work in college with my cousin. No climbing, hauling things to the chipper and taking up the mess. Some serious manual labor especially in the humidity.

Those were some screamers or skyscrapers if you like. What species? Yellow pine? I went to Houston to do power restoration after hurricane Ike. A lot of yellow pines about this tall had broken off and had fallen through the roofs of houses. Did you have them taken down for safety reasons? Or maybe it was their time to go? Age?
